more about me

im laura (the shorter one in the picture) and i run these sessions in eastbourne. i went to university and studied fine art, i graduated with a first and lived my best life. i went travelling, made precious memories, started a family then realised i really missed life drawig and being around creative people on a regular basis. i wanted to be part of a group that was fun, friendly, acceping and supportive. i wanted something flexible and affordable and i could not find a anything that ticked the boxes i wanted, so i started something.

i started to run flexible sessions, no tickets, no booking required, simply come along when you want. for me its important people come because they want to, not because they are tied into something.

the social and supportive side of this group is amazing. if someone has a creative idea, most the time the group will roll with it and it turns out to be something very fun. we have social nights where everyone is invited, we get involved in community events and im always trying to think of ways for the artists who come to display and sell their work if they wish to do so. we have exhibited in local cafes and are taking part in the open house as a collabritive.

everyone is welcome to these session, people come for so many different reasons, some becusae of social isolation, mental heath issues like anxiety and depression, hand and eye coordination after a stroke, hand strength with parkinsons and after a stroke, people who struggpe to make friends, low confidence, or just to be part of a community where everyone is accepted just the way they are.
